The holidays are officially upon us. Yay. And as magical as they are, the holiday season can become incredibly stressful. The family. The traveling. The blown budgets. The hunt to find the perfect gifts. Ugh.

Destination Monday: Dallas, Texas

DFW, The Metroplex, North Texas, different names for an area that offers everything from skyscrapers to cattle yards and everything in between. Dallas and Fort Worth, it's two major cities separated by 30 miles of suburbs, aren't exactly twin cities, they're more like fraternal twins with different personalities who squabble more than they get along. Two sides of the same Texas coin whose roots are different but intertwined. New Texas vs. Old Texas but because of those differences The Metroplex offers almost everything a traveler could want in an urban vacation.

Destination Monday: Atlanta

Atlanta, also known as the urban forest because it’s the most densely tree covered major city in the US with 36% of the city being covered by trees. It’s also home to the world’s busiest airport with Hartsfield Jackson airport on the south side of the city. Atlanta is home to several Fortune 500 companies, including Home Depot, UPS and Coca Cola. I think it’d make a great home to Speakman!

Destination Monday: New York City

New York City. The Big Apple. The Capital of the World. The City that Never Sleeps. Gotham. The Melting Pot. The Empire State.

New York is something different to everyone who has encountered it. If you ask 50 people what to do in New York, you’ll get 50 different answers. And if you did all 50 of those suggestions, you still wouldn’t scratch the surface of what this city has to offer.

But let me start off by saying that I am not a native New Yorker. But I do frequent the city often on business trips or to visit family and friends. So let’s consider this an entry level guide for those looking to avoid becoming overwhelmed by the city’s complexity and size.

Once considered a quiet retirement community, St. Petersburg FL has evolved into the most happening locale in Florida this side of South Beach, Miami.  With accolades including #1 Best City for Millennial Job Seekers (NerdWallet, 2015), inclusion as one of the "Most Outstanding Places" (Forbes Travel Guide, 2014), Top 52 Places to Visit (New York Times, 2014), and "5 Best Summer Travel Destinations" (Travel + Lesiure, 2016), it's clear that the city has undergone a true renaissance.  Plus it's surrounded by the gorgeous waters of Tampa Bay and the white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico - only enhancing this thriving scene.
